Is it hard to access air ports and coast guard stations elsewhere?

I called the airport operator about occupying a point about 50' north of the runway. Jill said just come in, check in and if I am not in tell them I said you could do whatever it is that you are doing.

OK.

So then I called the Coast Guard Station. He told me to find a parking space wherever I could and come in the back door and talk to the duty officer.

OK.

Granted, the airport is tiny and the station is pretty much open to the public but I thought I might need a little more to setup a GPS at these locations. Hopefully Thursday I will be re-running my core network with 5 L1/L2 Sokkias at once for as long as the batteries last. With any luck, I will get 4 hours of simultaneous data. If I get crazy, I will add the pair of HiperXTs to the mix.

International passenger airports are practically impossible. But small local ones are all but unrestricted. Major military bases are highly restricted access. But small facilities, like some national guard armories, etc., are pretty much like any other place of business.

Nice. I have avoided using these points expecting some delay or excuse or restriction.
