Today I went up to the "top of the house", which is just short of 800 feet above ground.
The red push pin is at the 68th floor, the current work deck, where I stopped to take a few pics. Only a thousand more feet to go...
Looking west over the World Financial Center, across the Hudson River, at New Jersey.
Looking south down West Street towards New York Harbor.
Looking east over the Woolworth building and the Brooklyn Bridge into Brooklyn.
Looking down and east into a small part of the Worlds Largest Basement.
From left, Tower 2, the Transit Hall (the big red crane), Tower 3 and the north edge of Tower 4.
Looking southeast at teeny tiny little Tower 4.
When done this "short Tower" will be 200 feet taller than the black building next to it.
Alway great pics.
Thank you, Scott!
That's a wee bit higher than when I was there last spring. From the looks of the surroundings, I'm guessing any problems with multipath up top is a thing of the past 😉
Scott-
You must have a mind like a computer to keep track of all of this !
Thank you for the pics.
Cheers
Derek
PS-
When finished will there be any GPS CORS on the building(s) or is it a security matter ?
Great Pictures Scott, Thanks for sharing and keep em coming!
Scott - your work amazes me. It makes the silly stuff I do seem tiny and insignificant. Thanks for sharing these awesome glimpses into your world.

Love the pictures, I don't know how you do that height thing, it was always a problem for me. I dealt with it to some point (okay, like 30' up on a cliff or railroad bridge).
I would think the building sway would make it unsuitable for a CORS site?

There are a series of CORS stations around the site that are used in the network to control the GPS on top to set the steel.
Some guy wrote an article about it last year
