A client funny...

I went to do a survey for a client the other day. His property abuts the edge of a 100' high capacity power line while his neighbor (backside of another subdivision) owns all the way across the power line easement. My client thought he owned out to the center. I tied down property corners in his subdivision and the other one to make sure everything jived, flagged his corners and staked the line in question (he had a privacy fence over the line).

He drove up from work about the time I was through, so I walked him around and showed all of what I came up with. He understood but thought his property went out farther because "I could of swore I saw my property corner on Google Earth about in the center of the power line."

Huh????

He brought it up on his smart phone and zoomed in on what he thought was his corner. I looked at it, saw about where it was and walked over there and found a pile of discarded vinyl siding laying down in a briar patch.

We had a chuckle about it.
