Another PLS in the office and a PC went out on a sectional retracement. The neighbor went with them when they were on his property, he told them that no one had ever found a stone in the area (that clearly wasn't the case since 3 are shown on the quad) and that it was a waste of time to look. They looked for 8 and found all of them, they were either marked?ÿstones, no visible marked set stones?ÿor the marked stone was laying next to a iron. A very good day. The only stone they didn't look for was the NE section corner since it wasn't needed to break down the section. Seems to be about 120' of excess in the W2 of the section which may have made other surveyors miss the evidence.
