Did you make that? I like it much better than the sheaths they make for 25' tapes.

JUD, it appears you are a crafty one.

Have you thought about making custom holsters and scabbards?

Just saying, could be a nice business on the side. I'd pay cash for a nice rig.

I really can appreciate hand worked American craftmanship. I can tell when a skilled worker put everything they have into something. I'm always willing to pay extra for things like that. I'd guess I'm not alone, people are getting tired of China throw away stuff.

Thanks GunMan. I enjoy making all kinds of things, but I want to keep the enjoyment in it by not doing custom work, it would soon become work. Someday if I need to, I may make a few things for sale, have sold one saddle I made, but usually just give stuff away like headstalls, braided quirts and a bunch of those rope halters you see on the tack boards. One of those was made from starter rope for a guy that could walk up to his horse without anything in his hand, but anything that looked like a rope and the horse wouldn't let itself get caught until he was run into a pen. That starter rope halter fooled the horse because it could be carried in a pocket and once caught you didn't need a lead rope. I posted this in the hope that some could use the idea and get something similar made for themselves. As I said below, I have never seen this method used except by me and the thing works better than anything I have seen, needs to be out there for all that are willing to provide one for themselves, The first photo should be all it would take to get a good craftsman to make one, its the metal loop that is the trick to the thing, 'it needs to be backed up by the belt so it is firm when removing or returning the tape', everything else can be the way you like it.

WOW......freaky similar to stuff my father used make do back in the day, when he was recovering from his arthritis.

He was taught leather work as physical therapy, and after a while became quite good at it.

I still have the belt and holster he made, as well as a small wallet from back around 1956.

Sure looks like a man purse to me.

I don't see where they offer anything other than the three products?
