The time between sunup and sundown today at this spot on the planet. I don't know anything about that part before 7:00 a.m. but that part after 7:00 p.m. is really nice. The evenings drastically improved once we hired out the lawn work to a neighbor.
I guess I'm like the chickens, I get more done when there is more sunlight to motivate me to work later.
sunrise 6:19 am
Sunset 8:25 pm
I've been up since 2:15. I went and fell asleep about 10pm last night. Shouldn't have done that.
the only time that I sleep past 5am is when I am ill or stayed up way too late (past 11pm)
I always like to be up and going before the commoners start messing around...
Now living in the lower latitudes I truly miss those long summer days... but those short winter days were horndous 🙂
It is keeping the nightingales asleep too long.
They sit on my front porch singing outside my bedroom window way too late.
They are so loud they drown out the TV & stereo.
Absolutely love the sunlight we have now!!! Towards the end of winter, I just keep putting things off and not getting what I need to get done. It's not just outside stuff either - my ambition just takes a big hit when it's dark and cold.
I was working last week in a place with sunrise at 05:30 and sunset at 20:39. So 15h 07m of daylight. Not as extreme as Alaska, but still a long day. About ten years ago i was in Sweden in June, it is weird seeing it daylight at 2 AM and nobody out. Needed blackout curtains in the hotel to be able to sleep.
Sunrise 5:21 am
Sunset 10:26 pm
Cranking daylight up around 5 minutes 20 seconds a day right now. Soon won't get dark.
Only time I was in AK was in late October, made it as far north as Chicken. Got dark early!
Chicken is up there. Going up that way and on to Dawson on a road trip towards end of June. Only section of road up here I haven't driven yet.

Loving the long days up north, but it bums me out to see the solstice fast approaching. As my wife forbids me to mention: "In 6 weeks we'll be losing daylight."

OMG! another unprotected border! Those darn Mexicans will be flooding in any moment!
They don't like the cold...
Good point
Apparently I'm Mexican and didn't even know it. I don't like the cold...................... Perhaps I should add -ez to the end of my surname to fit in better.
