Google has been no help to me with today's error message on my Brother MFC-6490 CW:
Wrong Paper Size. Reload Correct Paper then press...
I have rebooted both the PC and printer & opened & looked for foreign objects in the printer, etc.
I am hoping that someone here has the magic bullet, or at least will suggest something that will head me in the right direction, ...please?
I think it is related to printing large size (24x36) originals from Adobe to letter (8x11) or ledger (11x17) sizes.
It has never been a problem before, just all of a sudden today.
Just a guess, but what would happen if you selected to page scaling to 'fit the sheet' as opposed to leaving the scaling at "none"?
Right under the number of copies.
I noticed in your screen shot that your scaling is set to none. Based on the text below the preview image it thinks you're trying to print 24x18 on a 8.5x11 sheet without scaling. On my version I think the correct setting for scaling would be "automatic" or maybe "fit". Good Luck.
Thanks Gentlemen, it is not a scaling issue, I have tried it both ways.
Now I am trying the factory reset thru the menu on the printer.
Holding my breath....
...that did the trick.
Carry on.
This happens to me when I accidently pick the wrong tray (1 has ledger size and 2 has letter size). The only way I have found to clear the error message is to unplug the printer and cancel the print. And then send it again using the correct tray.

My first choice would be to set page scaling for Fit Paper
After that I would shuffle the paper in the tray to be sure the adjustable tab is on the correct paper size.
Third I would select properties go to the second page and select print to paper size letter and then also do my first choice.
generally, when it shows the complete image on the correct size of paper, it should work.
I did note that on my print page, under the diagram will be the percentage of the original size such as image size 72%
There a few other differences I see on your print page, must be a diff version than mine, still should work the same.
Same here
ditto, just unplug it next time
