I recently purchased a Dell XPS workstation, and I'm slowly moving all my Carlson 2015 CAD duties over to it. I've got a drawing created in Win10 from my old computer that plots out fine, but when I try to plot the same drawing on the new computer, the font isn't there. Is this a Win10 issue, a Carlson issue, or an Intellicad issue? Thanks!

Fonts are usually what is loaded on the computer as a part of windows operating system.

I've had to dig thru the internet to update my font database.

The font database on one windows system should be usable on all windows systems.

Compare the database on each computer and simply copy missing files to the other.

Found out using basic text keeps everything in sync without issues.

You might check out this http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/fonts-missing-after-windows-10-update/d145ab35-f6af-4708-b41b-e32d9e9da470&apos ;">Microsoft forum thread.

Basically, fonts that are inherently non-English were set as optional so you have to have the related language installed or optionally install them.

Can you figure out the name of the font?

It really was as easy as copying from one computer to the other. Thanks!
