I am old school still running Softdesk 8 in AutoCad 14 because the TDS Survey in my HP48GX works wonders with it.
For some reason I lost the Autocad menu along the top of the page when I open up Softdesk. How can I get it back?
Cant help you with this, but your software might be the best pure surveying software ever made.
Hope someone can help you out.

Paul,
Can you post a picture?

Hey, I am using a dos version of Softdesk in R12 Acad and have encountered that problem.
There is a problem in the command that opens the program. Something in the register settings may have changed due to a recent update.
You could by chance be using the wrong command. Check the properties of your icon on your desktop and inspect the path command. It may only be opening the engine and not the entire program. Example would be that it is using the ACAD command and not the Softdesk command.
In the worst case, try resetting your computer to an earlier date if you can reinstall any new feature that has been added since that date. Have had to resort to that procedure on all my computers upon some event that changed settings.
😉
Still the best version ever made. I believe the command "menuload" is what you are looking for.
