What are these files?

Got an email from a contractor with "everything I should need" to complete an as-built. The attached files were .ln3, .cg3, & .pt3. While I gather that the files are Topcon, I do not/have not used Topcon software and 1-do not know how to convert them into something I can use and 2-what information will these files have contained in them?

Thanks for any help someone more well versed in Topcon.

Open Each File In WordPad

You might find that one of them, probably the .pt3, is a disguised asccii/txt file.

If it is by changing the .pt3 to .asc or .txt you can work with it in another program.

Don't be surprised if NEZ is ENZ since the contractor may be working in an XYZ AutoCad format.

I also can convert them for you, I use Carlson Takeoff with my Topcon Hiper Lites, and do this quite often.

There is a point file, 3dline file, I'm not familiar with the cg3 however.

I convert the points to .txt, and my software will convert the line file for me.

Those are Topcon Pocket3d and 3d Office files. Can also be read with TopSurv and Magnet.

.gc3 is a control file
.pt3 is a point file
.ln3 is a line work file
.tn3 is a tin file
.rd3 is a roadway alignment file

I can also convert them to ASCII and DWG formats if you need more assistance.
