I have two data collectors (one Spectra and another Trimble) that are running Survey Pro 5.1.1 and 5.5 respectively.
What upgrades can I make without having to pay? I think one of them has the bug where the backsight check distance is bad which I would really like to have fixed. I see in the release note, you need to have warranty coverage (which I am not sure that we have, but probably not) for the upgrade. Is that for now or are you entitled to last version before your warranty ran out?
Thanks
You would need to have a Spectra Precision dealer inquire about each of them.?ÿ The key bit of information is the unit serial number.
it also depends what they are.?ÿ If they are the X-series units (yellow & black), then you are limited to the version that can be run on them.?ÿ I do not remember what the last build that supported the X-series units was.?ÿ If they are the Ranger 3 series, they will both support the current build of the software.
Software maintenance is $389 for each license and allows you to install the most current version.?ÿ That would allow you to get them on the same build of the software, which would facilitate exchanging job files between units.
If the Rangers you have are the X series units, they will not run the latest builds of Survey Pro.?ÿ I think the last version with a build for the X series was 5.8 or thereabouts.
Bow-Tie Did you end up finding an answer to this??ÿ
According to the Release Notes you have to have a current warranty to upgrade.
