Is it possible to Link a job file and have linework show up?

For reference doing a large topo with multiple people using multiple collectors. Sending JOB files to one another for reference to see, but when you link a job file its just points not linework.

Importing their CSV will bring in the linework, however when bringing everything into TBC will have multiple JOBS with the same points. It isn't a huge deal but with intricate areas it is nice to linework, anyone know if its possible?

Automated linework? No. Access can only hold one dynamic linework database at a time for a job, and that's the one coming from the job itself. (I can't imagine the coding mess that would ensue from trying to draw dynamic linework from multiple linked jobs plus the current job...)

Best option is to open that other job and export a DXF, then link it in as a non-selectable map object.

Yeah, definitely avoid importing CSVs...linking is the way to go in 99% of circumstances.

Wouldn't it be the same issue, only now there are multiple lines instead of multiple points?

Not if the workflow is: open other job, export DXF, then link both job and DXF. Keeps the linework and points from the other job separate, and still allows the operator to use the dynamic database for their own linework.

Are DXF's always essentially "linked"? (At least when the job is created with a CSV).
