Hello All,

I use Carlson Survey 2012 Embedded AutoCAD to create surfaces for grading. It is simple to export a .ttm file for use with Trimble rovers for stakeout. I was wondering if there is a way to create .svl of .svd files for Machine Control without getting Trimble Business Center. If I do need to buy TBC, does the Basic, that costs $450 do the job?

Thank you,

I would try their website. I believe the base model will create machine files and might be free until you want to buy data prep, takeoff, etc modules.

Instead of TBC you can use Trimble's "SiteVision Office" to produce SVL and SVD files.

That's where the SV part of the name comes from

The company that has the machine control may well have a copy they are not using. It is usually included in a machine control purchase.

You should be able to create the files in the free version of the HCE version of TBC.
