Hi all,
We've connected a Trimble M3 to a Carlson Surveyor2 successfully via bluetooth and the external connection function on the M3, but the M3 takes multiple readings when a shot is triggered and has to be manually cancelled by the operator after every shot. The Carlson Surveyor 2 only sees the first shot, but the M3 keeps banging away until manually stopped by hitting the esc key on the faceplate. I can't find any sort of settings for the external connection on the M3 that would affect this. It behaves this way when connected via bluetooth or via cable, so it does seem to be an issue with the M3. Has anyone had any luck getting the M3 to not continuously shoot when triggered?
Which M3, the one with Access or the one that's basically a Nikon? Either way, if you take a shot without the data collector does it do that?
It's the newer one with access. I could not find a way to initiate a measurement via a key using the external connection program. It seems to only be able to be triggered from the DC. It doesn't behave that way when fired from access. I'm thinking this is a glitch or limitation of the external connection program.
Is yours the M3 DR version?? I have one too, and am trying to figure out how to connect to my survpc
