Hey guys,
I’ve decided to inspect my father’s total station and I was able to calibrate it successfully — everything works perfectly on the instrument itself.
However, when I try to connect it to SurvPC using an RS232 cable and USB adapter, it just won’t connect. SurvPC starts searching through the baud rates and gets to about 66%, then it fails. It never establishes communication with the instrument.
So the total station is working fine mechanically and electronically, but I can’t get it to communicate with the software.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions?
