I'm running TDS Survey Pro 4.5.3 on a Recon. Today I had a issue with TDS displaying and recording bogus data while surveying robotically. For example, while trying to turn a set, I would shoot the backsite then when I was shooting the foresite the angle would appear correct, but the distance would be the same as the backsite. The robot seemed to be tracking normally and I could operate it manually just fine. Tried a couple of soft resets to no avail. Did not try hard reset until I got back to the office. Hopefully will be better tomorrow. Has anyone had this happen?
Were there any reflective signs on line with your foresight? Are you running active targets or passive targets?

No, the instrument was tracking me fine and was running passive. It does appear that the data collector was recording the foresite shot with the backsite or the previous shot's distance. I ran it this morning without a problem. I have recently upgraded from TDS Survey Pro 4.5.0 from 4.0.3 and have encountered this once before, but was unable to duplicate the error until yesterday.
I seem to recall this problem being related to the order you are taking your shots in. some guns do not shoot distances inverted and the dc will take the distance from the last shot and use it with the angle to calculate the shot. something like that. been awhile though
Are you using a Geodimeter/Trimble 5600 robot?

I am using a Topcon AP-L1.
