First off my Name is John Wise I am from the heart of the Willamette valley here in Oregon......
That said now I will present my dilema,, I have a low mile T1000w/DI5 that I got about 2002.
I use this Inst. with a TDS Recon with survey pro.
When I shoot my backsight for a check the display will read Ok? in the left window.
If I turn on the DI5 (which I never have had to do in the past) I can achieve a measurement.
I am running 2400 baud rate, Even Parrity, GSI, and have GRE selected as a data storage param.
I know its old but I don't have the funds at the moment for a new Gun and a CCP to go along with it.
Besides it kinda reminds me of a 1968 Camaro with a 396 and a four speed.
If anyone has any Ideas on this problem, I can use the input. I will set it in the shop this eve and go over once again.
I will try both instrument types T2000 & T1000 as well as T1600......

I switched the Inst. over to T2000 setting and have a bit of success.
Data collector still states can not send circle when in face 2 during angle sets.
All contacts were cleaned and appear normal.
I don't know why it would send the circle in face 2 I thought sending the circle was zeroing the backsight.

BFFB sets of angles.............
Face II happens when you turn BFFB angle sets......
Yea but I don't know why it would try to set zero in face 2
Welcome. Good luck. Keep us posted on keeping your classic gun in operation.
Fixed it,,,, Had to reset set data block format and then confirm it after first backsight check distance...
