im running survey pro robotics on a ranger with updated firmware.
the survey pro program can be driven by the key board or by touch. For some reason i have lost the ability to work the program by touching the screen. i can move the cursor around with the direction keys but they will no activate.... humm big problem if your trying to survey. the side menus work ok by tapping and windows works ok. its just he survey program thats stuck. The help menu does not discuss this topic.
any ideas? i know its something simple!
I believe you hit the"function" button, then the period button if I remember correctly. That wi disable and enable the touch screen. I think there is a little pic of a finger pressing a line in yellow above the period button. I can double check in the morning if that isn't it.
Had the same problem a few months ago with survey pro max 5.0, the screen was fine except when using survey pro. Called our dealer and they said to update the software, haven't had the problem since.

The keyboard does have touch pad button option and it was helpful but this problem has to do more with the amount of memory i have for the ranger. I updated from 4.1.6 to 5.3 survey pro robotics
so heres the way to hard boot. hold the power key down until the machine reboots it self. This may take several seconds. continue to hold the key down until the windows screen comes up.
Removing the battery from the back does not do it.
im not sure the latest version of survey pro will run on my ranger because im getting erroneous shots when doing topo. like a delayed shot capture after i moved. not always but sometimes. im standing still before and after the shot. humm
