I can not get the STK data collector to connect to my Nikon 500 NPL series total station. Has anyone ever had this problem?

I own an HP 50g, but I've never used STK software. Did you check to see if you're using the correct baud rate on the HP 50g? What serial cable are you using?

Now that I've thought about your question some more, the STK software should set the correct baud rate on the HP 50g. It's possible that the STK software doesn't have the right driver to communicate with your instrument.
