I have a fairly new Sokkia CX105 that's giving me an error (TS_COMM err. E881). any idea what could be the problem or how to get around it??
According to the Sokkia manual, a communication error message means "a reception error has occurred in coordinate data from an external instrument. Check the settings of parameters concerning communication conditions".
Are you using a data collector that may need to have different communication settings than it is configured for now or has it been working fine until now?
Note also that there are some settings in the instrument itself that are accessed in the "Comms setup" menu in Config mode. The settings depend upon what device you want to connect the instrument to and how (i.e. wireless or via cable).
