Hi!
Field to Finish makes lovely revision cloud lines for our tree lines. Yay! Less work for me 🙂
...
Wait... some of them are facing the wrong way!
?ÿ
How do I switch the direction of all the loops without redrawing the REVCLOUD?

Thanks,

Mirror them?
Reverse Polly Line <revpline>
Well I just can't find how to invert a rev cloud after the fact. But to draw a new cloud that is inverted:
Draw a closed polyline or circle where you want the cloud.
Type REVCLOUD
Type O for Object
Select the pline or circle you drew
It will autodraw a revision cloud that is concave and ask:
Reverse direction??ÿ
YES
voila!

I don't know if this works in Intellicad, but in AutoCad you can do as Eddie states above, selecting the existing cloud as the object. When prompted to reverse the direction, select Yes. This will flop the cloud.
EDIT -> POLYLINE EDIT -> REVERSE POLYLINE
Thanks for the ideas, folks!
I know how to reverse it while?ÿmaking it. But when field-to-finish automatically makes the linework with the loops facing the wrong way, I want to edit the loop direction, not the polyline vertex ordering direction (that's why REVPLINE won't work, tried that ??? )
Mirror might work, but I would need to break the tree line at bends and mirror each course individually. Seems as much work as redrawing the dang things, tbh. Which is what I ended up doing, lol.
If anyone can think of anything else, please reply.
Cheers,
Su
P.S. - Anyone know how to get word to the developers?
If you draw a polyline, from left to right, and it has txt in it; the text is right side up.
If you draw a polyline, from right to left, and it has text in it, the text is up side down.
Reversing the polyline changes the direction form right to left to left to right, making the text right side up. Why does changing the loop direction cause you problems?

Maybe @ladd-nelson has a solution for you; he can put you in touch with the developers, if all else fails.
@dougie, thanks for replying! I have no text, just a revision cloud line that we use as the symbol for edge of canopy (a "tree line"). I am not making a revision cloud, so there is no text.?ÿ
I did try reversing the polyline, but all it did was renumber the vertices, not change the direction that the "cloud" arcs all point.
I have 2 tree-line line types TREELINEA and TREELINEB. A goes left to right, with the arcs up; B goes left to right with the arcs down.
If you'd like; you can PM me with your email and I can email you a drawing with those line types.
@srleone72 Experiment with either the "LTF" special code or the Flip Linetype option:

I hope this information helps.
