Ok so I'm new to Carlson (w/Intellicad) and I'm spinning my wheels trying to get a simple FLD file set up.
?ÿ
All I'm trying to do is import points and have them come in with the correct symbol and attribute blocks.?ÿ Not trying to get into linework just yet.
?ÿ
So far I've gotten the symbols to come in but it won't process with any attributes.
?ÿ
When I process I get the following error for all the points on the command line
The definition for block 'SRVPNO1_anno' doesn't contain a required attribute 'PT#'.
The definition for block 'SRVPNO1_anno' doesn't contain a required attribute 'ELEV2'.
The definition for block 'SRVPNO1_anno' doesn't contain a required attribute 'DESC2'.
?ÿ
Does something look wrong here?

It looks like the block it is trying to use for the points (SRVPNO1_anno) does not have the attributes defined to populate the data fields. If you switch the Attribute Format option to both, will it process?
Not sure if this will help, but here's my screenshot for the same settings I have for that code.
Thanks guys…I couldn’t figure it out so I started a blank drawing and processed using the same FLD file and it worked…I’m assuming it was something in the default point settings…I’m assuming the default settings are dictated by the drawing and not the FLD file.
Still trying to wrap my head around the CRD vs the points in the drawing (Long time Civil 3d guy)
I spent a bunch of time setting up my FLD file and got the codes how I want them and all seems to be working well now.
Is there an easy way to place calc points in the drawing? The “visual cogo” function seems like what I’m used to but it seems rather clunky having to have 2 windows open and bouncing back and forth between them.
thanks again for the help!

I am glad you got the FLD sorted out.
I am not in front of my computer, but I think I use the pull down POINTS -> SET POINTS.

Maybe these YT videos will help?

DRAW-LOCATE POINTS
Thanks Brad! Lots of useful tools in Carlson. It's going to take me a while to be efficient but I like it so far.
If you've been using C3D, I think that Carlson lets you import your description key file. At least they used to have that as an option.

Not sure what you mean by this. Are you asking about entering points by known coordinates, or something else?
