I am sure this has been discussed before--but technology changes daily.
Is anyone using a printer in their truck? More specifically with their smartphone?
I don't normally carry laptops in the truck, so at times when you find you forgot some info, or discovered that you may need more info, I could have the office email it to me.
When you are searching around in the woods I find it inconvenient to look at my phone screen. It would be easier to go back to the truck and print right from my phone---
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Brother has a line of printers that are economical and there is a Brother printing app that works very good.
I have not found that not all apps are developed enough for proper printing like you would get at the office, it is sufficient enough to have a printout in hand of the information to what you need.
Still waiting for a few apps to come around and allow to print what it allows to view, like WordPerfect.
😉
Thanks for the info! I use Brother in all my offices---I love their software!
I didn't know WordPerfect was around!!
An ink jet can probably run off a cheap battery-to-AC power inverter. A laser printer could present a problem for the inverters due to the huge current spikes they draw.
I have a laptop, and a Brother multifunction printer in my truck. A 150 watt inverter will not run both of them. I would suggest at least a 400 watt inverter.
My Brother printer has the autosheet feeder, and it is a huge improvement over the HP multifunction that I used for about 6 years.
This is what I got. You'll have to buy the battery pack separate. It doesn't come with the printer. I love mine.

Looks interesting---Did you get the optional Bluetooth adapter? Work well?
Only got the battery. Didn't get the BT yet. Haven't needed the BT. But I use the battery 90% of the time. The little printer has survived 2 years in the truck without any problems. I am amazed what comes out of this being so small in size.
Looking at the unit with the battery and the adapter, it's upwards of $350.
Not what I am looking to spend on a device a couple of years old---Thanks for the info though!
I've been waiting to see if this idea will work out. If it does then I could see it being used by many of us.
