This is what I really think is best with Topcon Magnet the SQL database. They handle all the raw and coordinate Data in one file.

This is one of my frustrations, not being able to program.
I've had some coding done for simple routines by external persons but they make this look like a piece of cake like Christof.
What is recommended to try some programming with raw data files and coordinate files?

Leica and Trime have the same with XML files but admittedly you do have to export them first.

I used http://sqlitebrowser.org/&apos ;">DB Browser for SQLite, simply because it was the first open-source application I found for the purpose.

I've installed Lazarus and am fooling around with it now -- thanks!

I just installed SQLite Manager in Firefox, and that made it easy to find and export the photos. (I guessed that they were JPEGs, and that worked.) I don't know if the same capability is in DB Browser, but if it is I overlooked it yesterday.

Jim,
I'll add my code here.
A good start for Databases ... At first it's a little hard to understand you need 4 components to work with databases but once configured that works very well.

Topcon Support supplied me with an aswer : export points to magnet xml (.mxl); a separate map appears with the pictures. They have the same name as the point number but sadly enough have no georeference data attached. That would be a nice feature to check everything in like Geosetter

The few I looked at have grid coordinates incorporated into the image, along with date and time. There doesn't seem to be any position data in the EXIF records, though.
