First - Whoever decided to name this software after common physics terminology made a horrible mistake. It is impossible to google anything about this software.
Is it possible to configure MAGNET Field to automatically report invert elevations on pips in the field upon staking the point? Ideally this should be an option on the same screen we read stake elevation and cut/fill from. This is a tedious and error prone part of my work having to calculate them all manually after each hub.
Thanks.
To narrow your search you should use "Topcon Magnet Field".
I don't understand your question on "pips" and inverts. We need more information to understand your question.
If you are staking only points, then you are limited to your own computed coordinate. If you have a 3d line (for pipes) or a 3d surface (FG), then a vertical offset can be applied.

I don't see a way to edit posts on this forum. I meant to type pipes. I'm fairly sure my question is clear enough if you have experience with the kind of work we are doing. I'll try to clarify further. We are given plans that call out invert elevation as well as rim elevation of storm drain catch basins for instance. MAGNET will give me a cut or fill to the point elevation I've created in the points file, but I want to know how I can add additional cuts and fills to that point. It is perfectly possible to export points with more than one elevation property in civil 3D, so I am hoping there is a way to use that in MAGNET, since staking points with multiple IEs and rim elevation is extremely common, and engineers plans are often either only in pdf format, or have very inconsistent methods of conveying pipe layout information.
I understand now. But I doubt you're going to find any field data collection software that allows a single point to have multiple elevations assigned to it. We use the 3d line work for each pipe coming into the structure. This gives us pipe size, direction and?ÿinvert elevation, that is easily identified?ÿfrom the map view (graphic).
You have a good idea, but so limited in its application (plus complexity) that this is unlikely?ÿto be an added option.
You may be able to assign multiple?ÿattributes to a point, but I see no way to use it for staking. If you insist on using only points, the best you can do is create multiple points at the same location with different elevations.

BTW: You can edit your own post only within a limited time from the initial start of the post. I think this is something 15 minutes.
In the stakeout screen of Survey Pro you can enter (ie/type in) alternate design elevations to get C/F calcs.?ÿ But I know of no way in that software to assign multiple elevations to single points.
A work around might be to have multiple points with the same horizontal position but different elevations. "Number" them with alphanumeric designations such as 999ie(w), 999ie(e), 999rim, etc.?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ
