Is it possible to import Placemarks, Lines and such from Google Earth to C3D without 3rd party software?
I F1'd the crap out of "help" and came up short with their explanations. TBC exports to Google Earth but doesn't import from. (unless I'm missing something)
I don't think that there is a quick and easy way without a third party software. In 2011 C3D and GE played nicely, but that went away after 2011. I believe that there are add-ons to C3D to import/convert kml files to something C3D will play with, if you google "import kml to civil 3d" you can find a couple of them.
File>import>google earth file and make sure your drawing is in the correct coordinate system.
I'm running carlson 2015 in C3D 2013 so Im not sure if this will work for you.
Good luck!
I'm not sure, but I "hear" 2015 C3d will play nice w/GE again.
Civil3D 2015+ has a built in EXPORTKML command. However, there still is no KML importing, a third party add-on will be necessary.
We use the Spatial Manager add-on program to bring Google Earth KML/KMZ files into C3D. It also works with numerous other file formats and with vanilla AutoCAD.
