I just loaded Carlson 2016 with Intellicad 8.1. After loading I setup my tools just the way I like them and begin to import points from yesterdays job. I cut and pasted the north arrow, surveyor notes, title, legend, signature certificates, ect., then I noticed that some of the entities were not there so I repeated the process just to find the same problem. I opened the same drawing with Carlson 2011 and AutoCAD 2002 and there were the missing entities. After opening several drawings with Intellicad 8.1, I realized I had that issue with many of the drawings. I emailed a copy of the drawing to Carlson tech support just a few hours ago. I later accidently clicked in that open space where there was nothing an saw 4 grips appear, so I right clicked and hit edit text and there was the text so the entity was there but was invisible. I used crossing to missing areas of the the drawing and a bunch of grips appeared. Has anyone here seen that same problem with Intellicad. I am trying to get away from AutoCAD because of the cost, my current AutoCAD version is 2002 and can only be loaded on windows xp or earlier. I thought I was getting rid of one problem and now a new one.
Check the color assigned to your text and compare it to the color of your background.

The text is white on a black background. I pasted a line table which was green from another drawing that the lines were invisible to show Carlson tech support but on the new drawing the lines appeared and the annotation was invisible. On Intellicad 6.0, I would have to regenerate the drawing when entities didn't redraw but they always came back. That was an Issue on 6.0 that really bugged me so I always went to AutoCAD that is loaded on XP to draft.

Can you send me a copy of the DWG so I, too, can look at it?

Will do, there are 2 mtext blocks below the vicinity map
Bill-
I don't have answer to your problem, but I'm also using CS2016./Intellicad8.1 Lots of bugs in there.

I believe I've identified the problem along with a solution. The two MTEXT entities that you're having difficulties seeing apparently have a Z-coordinate value that would put the entities somewhere well past the Pluto planetoid if Z=0 were on the face of the Earth:
MTEXT Layer: "TEXTNOTES"
Space: Model space
Color: 2 (yellow) Linetype: "BYLAYER"
Handle = 3e83
Style = "NONE"
Annotative: No
Location: X= 50230.78 Y= 50160.85 Z= 3.24E+61
Width: 150.00
Normal: X= 0.00 Y= 0.00 Z= 1.00
I used the Carlson Edit -- Change -- Change Elevations command to set the two items to an Absolute Z value of 0 and then they showed right up. I suspect this is probably due to code from the Open Design Alliance (ODA) that IntelliCAD uses to open and display DWG files. I'll get this reported to programming.

Thanks a lot Ladd, I took a look at the line table that I was having problems with and at one end the line is at 0 and the other has that strange elevation. I suspect the elevation on the mtext might have come from there. The line tables were done with a program called PacSoft before I had Carlson, I may have snapped on an end point of a line table while moving the mtext around and then kept carrying the error from one drawing to another by cutting and pasting from one drawing to another.

Is it just me or does it take just a extra fraction of second to execute a command. It seems that my mouse clicks are to fast and the program can't keep up.
If I slow down and work in a slow pace it seems to work fine, but then as soon as I get up to my regular speed, I seem to be ahead of the program and it doesn't register some of my mouse clicks. I find myself using the escape key often to restart the command.
