I am using Carlson CES and would like to trace the approximate location of some terrain features from a tiff image.
When I import the tiff as a raster image, it blocks out any lines "under" the picture.
Is there a way to make the tiff more opaque so I can rotate and scale the image to my cad lines?
TIA
JB
Don't know about Carlson...
But in AutoCad:
tools
display order
send to back
Yep. View,
Display order
Send to back.
N
That command always hides from me for some reason.
So does imageframe off.
I believe for a bitonal tif in autocad you can make one color transparent. That was many versions ago. Looking for words like "transparent" in your help files. Mine now says that you can make all pixels of a certain color in a bitonal OR greyscale picture transparent. However it looks like either an Raster Design or Map 3d command though so you might need one of those extensions. - jlw
PS Some queries for online plain Autocad help files indicate that it may now be possible to set objects and particular layers to a transparency value. That sounds neat, I haven't tried it though.
