This site IS WHERE IT HAPPENS.
Don't have a clue what I did, but now whenever I want to draw a line, or whatever, this stupid little box follows my cursor, telling how far I am from somewhere
(I think)
I have tried toggling all of the F keys, one at a time, and it is still there.
How do I get rid of this annoying little thing?

It looks like the Dynamic Input function. Turn on/off using F12, or the icon that looks like a + with a AAA battery in the southwest quadrant.

or double click the DYN box on the bottom of the screen
