It has clogged tubes between the ink and the print heads. Has anybody ever cleaned these out? Yellow does not print, Blue is poor, and Red is not so good. It just needs a good cleaning of it's plumbing. Anybody ever done this?
Thanks!
N

I bought a used 500 a couple of years ago. When it got to me, it had the issues you describe (seller had disclosed, so not a problem).

I replaced the print heads (all four were like 40 bucks on ebay; genuine hp) and that fixed it right up.

I know youtube is a wealth of hp information but, a quick search didn't show cleaning ink tubes. Ebay has replacement tubes for 100-200 US, depending on model.

If you can get them to separate from the respective ends, seems like soaking them in warm water/ washing them out with warm water should do it.

Good luck,

Same thing happened to mine. From what I read online, it looked as though I'd have to replace all of the lines. Looked like a real pain in the butt, and after I weighed the cost, I decided not to bother.

I agree with back-chain; because replacing a printhead has always fixed my 110+. Washing/replacing the tubes requires removing the carriage.

I have a 100 and a 110....the 100 is for spare parts now since it took a dump...I replaced the ink supply line with new ones and the print heads to make my 110 work after it took a dump also....never thought of cleaning the tubes....

How do you remove the carriage?
