When I open up a post, certain words are highlighted in color, and are underlined. When I hover over the word, a pop up block with advertisements pops up.

How do I get rid of this? I had an issue yesterday with the Disk pro antivirus malware and had to get rid of that.

Thanks in advance

Your computer has probably been hijacked. I have that problem when I use firefox. It was hijacked by Privitize VPN.

Check to see if you have add-ons that you don't want in your browser. In Firefox, look at Tools / Add-ons. See if any of the Extensions or Plug-Ins look suspicious.

I don't know if a malware checker would catch something there.

You could also delete cookies for anything you don't want to stay logged in to, but I think that's less likely to relate to your symptoms.

Your browser has been hijacked alright.

Sometimes not too hard to get rid of - check for an entry in the add/remove programs control panel (some of them are polite about this)

If that doesnt work check for and remove your browser plug-ins. Firefox has a nice reset to defaults option

Failing that malwarebytes is pretty good at nailing this sort of thing

If you can work out the name of the nasty, google can help provide fix-it hints.

Thanks guys.

It was some sort of coupon buddy program. No idea where it came from, but I noticed the name in one of the pop up windows. It was listed in the add/remove programs. I removed it, and thinsg look like they are back to normal.

Holy,

I am quite sure that you are not alone. I am sure MANY people consider me one on a regular basis.
