@wa-id-surveyor I like that master spreadsheet idea. Every project we are starting new I am settling up that way. I had not thought of a master spreadsheet. I am creating some custom reports that go in each project folder and soon all field folders. Once I have my local site set aka state plane scaled to ground I have Ben exporting that project # name and datum jxl out. So that can be used in the field or office to prevent typos.

So it took me a while but I knew what needed to be done but I was missing a few steps to get this solved. Had my local dealer support help me a bit. Anyway the reason TBC would not allow me to redo that site calibration was all the grid points from each jxl was holding it up. I took the first jxl with bad calibration and traverse robot work and deleted all points the grid accept the one global for base and made it survey quality. Then brought the 2nd jxl calibration only it was bad and did the same leaving that same base name the same but eliminated all grid points. Merged all same points and vectors the GNSS ones . Then brought in a csv file with the control I needed and off to the races I went. Anyway tonight before leaving the office I asked the cad guy how the previous surface and contours checked with this data. We left the adjacent surface alone and made a break line along the common line was some overlap. But when he contoured it the old surface boundary and this one hit like a charm. I had identified some curb points that were a foot apart tying in and such and all that checked well. What a hair puller that was.

A great learning experience though. Now onto the other projects. Got one Alta boundary adjusted today all points ready for Carlson field to finish and working on the scan data now. For the very busy road and intersections. A couple other Alta going on have some boundary resolution to do. But love that.

What a week. Thank you all. For getting me to think about alternative ways. I did start my rough draft today on site calibration procedures for these older projects.  None will be needed for all new projects as I set those up in the beginning so we don’t have to fool with that mess.
