Hi guys,

I'm trying to merge a pair of TIN files and am getting a "Line Before Point Insert Error". The internet seems to be seriously lacking in GEOPAK help, so I thought that I'd ask the experts.

Thanks

How can you draw a line without a point to draw it to?

Could be a couple of things, not sure how what your process is. Make sure the TIN files overlap and in the merge tool the new TIN will hold over the old TIN. Are both TIN from your S/W? If one is created or opened in a newer version it can not go back to an older version (only the TIN files) the GPK files will go backwards. I hope tihs helps, it's hard to know without looking at them. Thanks Brian

Thanks for your reply.

Both TIN's were made with the same version of GEOPAK and there is an overlap as I successfully created a merged (if cr*ppy) TIN with the files as a test prior to making some edits. I suspect that something got corrupted in the editing process somewhere.

It's not a huge project so it will not be the end of the world to re-do.

Once again, thanks for your reply and your help.

What a great resource this site is.
