Maybe this has been discussed before but are any of y'all full blown Apple users in the business half of your life? My personal world is all Apple, iPhone, MacBook, Apple Music, iCloud, etc. But my Survey life is stuck in Windows suck. Do any Brothers on here run their business with a Mac. parallels, VMware Fusion, Boot Camp? Does C3D work properly? Does it work better on a Mac?
This working at home...I just hate my big clunky Dell Laptop. Dragging around a brick...
Not me/us, and I've never heard of anyone using Apple for AutoCAD, etc.
It's probably because Apple manufactures hardware and writes it's own software.?ÿ Maybe a better alternative to Windows is Linux.?ÿ I'd love to get off Windows for my business platforms.?ÿ BTW I'm writing this on a linux box.
Mr. StL,
Since 2005, my business computer has been a Mac. Just purchased my third Mac. I use iPhones, iPad, Apple TV. All of my business software is Mac based, except for the surveying stuff, which has always been Windows based. I have used Apple's Boot Camp and Parallels during this time to run ACAD/LDD for a s long as I could ($), then switched to Carlson/Intellicad in 2013. Never tried C3D on a Mac. Parallels does not appear to impose a performance hit. It is seamless to go from one OS to the other or both at the same time.
I have only encountered a few problems with graphics cards and drivers that required a deep setting change over the years. Nothing too serious.
I only dabble in Windows 10 long enough to start Carlson, unless there is a reason I have to use it when the Mac OS is not supported.
Carlson SurvPC runs in a Windows 10 Mesa tablet. That version of Windows is more difficult for my old eyes since the text is too small for important setting changes and administrative stuff. Again, I only start Windows in order to run Carlson if I can help it. Carlson text and graphics are fine.?ÿ
Mac OS Catalina and parallels are not perfect and thing do go wrong some times, but that is the case with every computer I have ever operated. I don't see a return to the Windows world for everything non-survey related, unless the software I have to use demands it.?ÿ
My two cents,

@jerry-attrick Thank you for your input. I'm glad to hear that it can be possible.
The only people that I've met that are full-time Apple users are schools, building and remodeling designers, carpenters and graphic designers for signs, cards, etc.
