For all the REAL Computer/Web nerds out there... This made my head spin.

Here's how I found out about the below article

How a guy got a 27 year old Mac on the web.

I still have my Atari from 1981, maybe I should give it a try ;-).

I also have the phone modem that you could dial up the DEC-10 computer at Western Michigan University and place the phone handset into the modem cradle. Could not read my punch cards, but could work on programing homework. I thought I was one cool dude, being able to work from home and not drive to the library.

We still get the Atari out from time to time to show the kids what the real PacMan looks like or play some Joust.

A couple of years ago I donated my first computer, and Apple III, to a museum. Included in the bundle was a second external 5-1/4" floppy drive and a daisy wheel printer. This system was high class in its time and Apple's first big flop. What really got me was the cost, the external floppy still had the price written on the box and was around $700 in 1980.

[sarcasm]5-1/4" floppy, Wow that was the latest.[/sarcasm] My Atari had a cassette tape storage with about a 50% fail rate. Always made 3 copies of the bigger programs I was working on. When you turned it off for the night it was ALL GONE. Things have changed.

I don't think the machine in the pic is a plus. However, I had both. Some of the best machines of their day, but no 'real' cad as I recall.
