I have "Googled" this to no avail. I seem to have forgotten (or maybe Windows 7 does not allow it like XP used to) how to make all my file explorer views look like this every time I open the file explorer:

Rather than this:

Organize / Folder & Search Options / View

How do you add details to be displayed about the files?

When I open my music files and/or video and movie files, I like to see a column for:

song
artist
duration
size
file type
date created

XP go to view and choose details and there were like 20 different choices

Can not find that on Win7 Pro 64

That is because Win 7 knows it is smarter than you. It is designed to get you to go online and download more MS crud.

Right click on any column header you see and you'll get a checklist.

Google "change folder and search options windows 7" and the wisdom you seek will be revealed.
