Aloha,
Now that I finished my control network...I just started to think about setting up F2F in Carlson Survey. I use Survey Pro as a field software. I watched the tutorial video and also purchase Rick Ellis' guide recently.

I am just wondering if someone out there would be willing share their F2F file?:-$ Something I can use as foundation to build upon. I promise...you will get a lot good karma points 🙂 It will be used within the monastery only.

Thank you so much!

Send me an e-mail and I will send you mine too. But it will be several days before I return to the office and start digging out from under the 400 e-mails that have accumulated from vacation time.

ott at main street consulting dot com

By the way, all my codes happen in the descriptor field. That way all I have to download from the DC are the ASCII text files.

For example:

PNEZD:
1,5000,5000,100,X OEP B

This will create a ground shot on its own layer etc to be used in the TIN for contouring AND it also creates a power pole symbol and begins an overhead electric line...

You are gonna love F2F once you get rolling.

By the way, I will bet that Dent's are the best system for F2F that you will find.

Mine is a carry over from a day job I had in 2006-2009

Hi am interested in learning more about this. You are using survey pro for your data collector? How about your office software, do you use carlson? mind if you could link the tutorial videos?

Cheers

There are tutorial videos on the Carlson web site, carlsonsw.com . Rick Ellis and his books can be found at cadapult.com . A third source of VERY good and easy to understand training manuals can be found at Jennifer DiBona's web site, thatcadgirl.com. A little time spent using these 3 sites will have you up and running in no time.

New to Carlson too. Hoping cptdent would be willing to share f2f file with me also?

Using TDS Survey pro as well. Can Carlson read the .survey file or do I need to export a .raw or .RW5 file??

Thanks!

Don't know about the .survey files, but I have Survey Pro, and exporting the .raw file is fairly simple. I save that, make a copy, and re-name that to .rw5, and process that.

Just noticed that I no longer see the Private Message or send an email button on the new site?
Anyone wishing a copy of the *.fld file, send me an e-mail at dacermak@comcast.net and I will send it to you.
Reviewing this file should help you get started on your own version.

Its called a conversation now.
Just start a "conversation" and the other party gets an email.
Works well.
