Giving up on fixing my 2008 LDD to insert SID images. Is there a method to download Google Earth Imagery so the image is save with feet unit instead of inches?

Not exactly wha you are after, but here is my method:
1. Fire up Google earth, frame the area you want to bring in. Under options, set the vertical scaling to 0.01 (flattens image). Next select the measure tool and draw a reference line outside your desired image area. (Remember the distance)
2. Hit cntrl & print screen
3. Open windows paint, cntrl & V will paste the screen shot. Choose 'select all' and slide the image up and left to crop out the frame.
4. Move the slider bars to go to the bottom right of the screen. Click outside the image to deselect, and select the grab point at the lower right of the image page (white area).
Move the page limits to from out the right and bottom of the image.
5. Insert the image into cad, draw a line the distance of the reference line, and scale the image to match.

Thanks. That gets the job done until google earth comes up with a better way. I hadn't thought of using paint. It's a lot simpler way than creating a snapshot using Google Earth.
