Okay, fist of all I know XP is no longer supported and should probably be avoided.
But....
I have an Acer Aspire One that I would like to reformat and re-install the operating system before I get rid of it. It has just been sitting around since I laid off my last full time crew a couple of years ago. The crew used it in the field to view pdfs and such. At some point it got a virus and large chunks of widows are missing. Anyway the damn thing did not come with recovery disks and I can not recover them from it at this point.
Does anyone have Windows XP Home SP3 disk I can copy?
Thanks in advance
I did some searching at MS and someone had replied that you need to get a recovery disk from the OEM.
I did a Bing search on "aspire one xp recovery disk" and got a bunch of stuff back. Maybe something in there might help.
Download the iso & then burn it to disc w/ a newer version of win.
If that does not work, let me know. I have a dozen XP disks in the closet. Not sure if I have any SP3, but I can say close enough.
