All of a sudden lately, Carlson is slow to launch an existing small 3MB dwg file.

I honestly doubt that this is a Carlson Problem but likely rather a 4 year old Dell Precision laptop pc problem.

What specific settings in my CCleaner program do I need to make sure are set properly to address this problem?

Is the drawing file stored locally on the computer or on a network folder?

Have you added a new router into your computer network?

Once opened, does running an AUDIT command reveal any issues?

Does the performance problem exist with other drawing files?

Might the application be searching for needed Support files on a server path that is no longer available?

I hope this provides some launching points.

I think the server path theory might be a good one.

The dwg files are on an external hard drive D: which is also backed up on line with Dropbox. ?ÿDropbox just recently changed something in the way their application works, without giving me any warning.

As always, many thanks Ladd. ?ÿWhat a fella.

@ladd-nelson

Ladd is on the right track - especially if this is a file you didn't create fresh and have been making minor changes in for a long time.?ÿ They can become corrupt and get slow and buggy.

This particular issue has resolved itself with no human interference. ?ÿTime has worked this one out, which, I think, proves Laddƒ??s theory.

I am certain that this is Not a Carlson issue.

This particular Dell Precision laptop is only 4 years old. ?ÿIt gets temper-mental when I try to reconnect it to my docking station and large screen desktop monitor lately.
