My bars scale looks fine on the drawing, but in the print preview and plot the scale blocks are not filled in. I'm using CS2011.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Command: textfill (maybe?)
On my system the command for Text Fill is located on the print/plot configuration screen that pops up to select print options.
For some reason, when my updates arrive and/or when I restart my computer, that and other personalized commands keep resetting.
On the subject of bar scale, here's something that I found out. I notified one of their tech support team member. He replicated this quirk on his own computer at that time. I believe this will get fixed on the next release.
When you insert a bar scale, the software provides the user the choice to enter the value of the scale. For example, if your drawing is 1:1000, the value of that scale is in the field by default. Often time, what I find is the bar scale is much too big for the drawing. Maybe it's only with metric drawings, I do not know. So, instead of inserting the scale at 1:1000, I insert at 1:200 (for example).
Now here's the little something.
Once the bar scale is inserted in the drawing (at that example scale of 1:200), the horizontal scale of the drawing (under the settings menu) is changed to the scale value that was keyed in (the 1:200).The user has to reset the value of the scale (1:1000 in this example) to its original chosen value.
It took me a long time to figure out why the post-bar scale tasks would have scaling issues. To make a story short, when you insert a bar scale; whatever value you give it becomes the drawing scale too.
Those solutions did not work.
My Carlson Survey 2011 with embeded AutoCAD does not have Textfill or Fillmode?
Thanks
Try typing textfill or fillmode at the command prompt.

For some of those "hard to reach" places, check the System Variable Editor:
If you'd care to issue the "Save" command from the System Variable Editor and send me the resulting PVF and also your DWG file, I'll see if I can replicate and find the proper solution.
