I downloaded a new build last week Build 130416 and now the curve calculator (Traverse) does not work. Calculating a curve - length or delta - results in a new coordinate at the radius point.

Has anyone else had a problem?

Carlson support has acknowledged the problem with the latest build and while I love Carlson I am a little disappointed in their suggestion.

"This has been fixed and will be available in the next build for 2013! When you click on the link below, you notice the current date (build) is April 16, 2013. Keep an eye on this to see when it updates (may be a week or two) and then download/install new build and you should be all set.

2013 Download Page:
http://www.carlsonsoftware.com/support/software-downloads/?product=Carlson&version=201 3"

I guess I have to get my calculator out and calculate my curves before trying to generate coordinates in my data files, until the next time they release an update.

I'm never going with the latest release of any software. It's better to wait till the last build, and all the bugs have been discovered by users and have been fixed.

Me too.

I am still on C2011 in A2007, and happy happy happy.

But, I wonder, whenever I decide to upgrade, or more likely am forced to do so by my equipment, what will I upgrade to?

That year XXXX (-) minus one year older YYYY = ZZZZ ?

By the way Tom, feel free to e-mail me the 2 parts of the horizontal curve that you need computed and I will run it through C2011 as soon as I am sitting back at my PC...

Brad:

Thanks but I have other souces I was just venting. It is not like curve calculations is a new feature they just dropped the ball somewhere. You would think the would issue a bug fix instead of waiting for the next build. The new builds show up and download automatically. I have had no problems with 2013 just this new build.
