If anybody is using the Brother MFC-6490CW large printer/scanner/fax the ink from www.supermediastore.com is on sale right now.

Brother knock-off cartridges are $1.625 a cartridge right now... hard to beat!!

Other cartridge options

Yes I have

Yes I have, and they work great. Maybe not as many copies as the factory cartridges, but at a $1.62, versus $30 or more... c'mon... it's a no brainer.

I was disappointed with the last knock offs recommended here.

I honestly do not remember why?

But I did go back to the expensive full price ones...

Sorry to hear. I like the ones I get, haven't had funky one yet. Again, they may not print as much as the OEM, but you can buy like 20:1 ratio of the cheapies -vs- OEM at this price.

Just got my order from them a few weeks ago after reading about it on Beer Leg. I'm totally satisfied at the great price compared to the Walmart store price ($24.95 ea.) and so far they are working just fine. The only problem I had was when I inserted the new cartridge in the printer, there is a small film cover over the insert lip that you have to use a little pressure to pop it in and break the film cover. (I don't know if you should pierce the film cover or not before you force the cartidge into the printer). I have a Brother MFC-6890CDW.

I have been using cheap ebay ink in my Brother printer for five or six years. I guess I have saved a few hundred dollars at least. No real problems.

I have noticed that I need to run a black ink cleaning cycle once in a while. I've printed photos on glossy photo paper with great results. Maybe they won't last fifty years but I won't either. When the printer wears out I'll buy another Brother.

Basically printers are divided into two main types, one is ink jet printer and the other one is laser printer. Ink jet printer requires ink cartridges to perform it functions while laser printers require a toner cartridges for proper functioning.

Just bought some myself. Thanks for the link. They are actually close enough in the Los Angeles area that I can pick them up if I wanted to, but I didn't need them that fast.

I have been very happy with my 11 x 17 format Brother wireless printer and the price was right.
