Carlson has some great tech support people. Lon is one of them. But today I was in serious need to getting help on road net and hydraulics. I was referred to Mark Long of Carlson tech support.
I have been using CAD software since the time it was first created, and I can say that my support call with Mark Long is the best and most informative tech support call I have ever had. Just unbelievable. He linked to my computer and would not stop helping me until I had it down pat.
The combination of the incredible power of Road Net and Mark Long is a weapon for Carlson Software. I really do appreciate the support I got today!
Thank you Mark--that is if you even enter this forum.. 😀

Being able to link directly to your computer is an awesome asset. Other than security protocols, I do not know why they would not link up on every tech support call.
When we were contemplating switching to Carlson, they linked up to my work station (which was being projected onto a large screen0.
The whole office put together a list of tasks we wanted to see completed. We all sat around and watched them complete the tasks using our data and our local install.
They were on speaker phone, so people could ask questions.
We were all impressed and choose Carlson over Civil 3D hands down.
The same will be true if you ever get Brian Harris!!
I have yet to talk to ONE Carlson tech rep that did not have his cookies all in a row. The speed and accuracy of responses via email is not to be sneezed at.
Every time I deal with these guys it just confirms that our choice to move from AutoCad to Carlson was the best move we ever made.
Maybe once a year I have to call Nicolas Cournoyer at Leica Geosystems, and every time, no matter how complex my question, he promptly gives me a detailed answer just as if he had a 1200 powered up in front of him. I am astonished at the depth of his knowledge. Touch F5, scroll down two lines, touch the right arrow, etc. Amazing.
