Has anyone else found this version to be a little buggy?
I am have weird issues going on.
I click somewhere on a blank portion of the screen and it will select a hatch pattern I have somewhere else.
I select a hatch pattern and grips will appear somewhere else in a weird shape that does not match the hatch boundary.
The Undo command does not always work.
I select an object and attempt to enter a command at the command line, it does not work because the cursor was hovered over a grip and the associated edit menu has appeared, which prevents any other commands from being issued.
The system "Busy" or "working in background" indicator next to the cursor starts spinning when I click on a drop down box and continues spin until I move the cursor off the drop down box. Some times I have to make menu selections with the "busy" indicator rather than the cursor. It does not do this with any other programs.
All of these annoyances come and go with system re-boots and are not necessarily repeatable.
I am wondering if it has to do with the fact that my drawing is in large state plane coordinates, which in the past caused AutoCAD to run buggy?
I have a fairly new work station which has been working flawlessly.
I won't bother with trying to re-install if others have experienced similar quirky behavior.
Autocad 2014 buggy?
I have also received an error message "VL namespace mismatchn type Y to reset".
I vaguely remember having this error several years ago.
The audit command didn't find any problems.
I guess I will write-block out my drawing to a new drawing and see if that helps.
FWIW, running as part of Infrastucture Design Suite Premium 2014 on 4th Gen i7 based HP office and Dell mobile workstations...haven't seen any bugs at all.
I am running Civil 3D w/Win 7 Pro and have no issues.
Your description of the issues sounds like a problem with your video card and/or driver. Try switching the hardware acceleration off and see if that makes a difference.
Funny thing is, now that you mention it, I did get an error message a couple weeks ago about some Heidi driver not being found or loaded. The screen flashed and I continued to work. The next time I loaded AutoCAD it came up with a message asking me if I wanted to turn on Hardware Acceleration, which I did.
You may be onto something...Thanks!
