These are snap shots of the file after a Trueview convert. I need all the "boxes" to be native polylines. A few have tried to convert for me without any luck.
I was given the files on Friday afternoon and they would like the surface built for Monday. I need help!!!!!
Thanks,
Thad
Overall
This is the text in the corner of the boxes.
I do not have acad.
The first thing I would do is ask the provider what they think they are!! You may need a DXF file...
Send it to me at stephen at ward land surveying dot com and I'll give it a shot.
A suggestion: Starting inquiring about the source application that created the files on the front end and if it's Civil 3d ask that they do a save as and run the -aecConvertToAutocad command prior to sending the files to you.
The engineer sends the files to the contractor that I am working for. The contractor then sends them to me. The contractor usually doesn't know what to ask for but in this instance I didn't have time to get the contractor to notify the engineer on the files.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will now ask for them to be sent that way when time permits.

Oops....The command is actually -AecExportToAutoCAD
I think those boxes are point nodes. Swollen nodes to a high degree, as it were.

That was my first thought. Play around with the pdmode/pdsize command. Forgot, you don't have ACAD
Those are AutoCAD proxy objects, likely created by Civil3D. You would need an Object Enabler to view them in TrueView or base ACad. When a drawing with Civil 3d objects in it is opened in an ACad system without the enabler installed the software displays a bounding box to identify them.
Email a copy of the drawing and I'll try to export it for you.
Your best bet is to get the creator of the drawing to open the drawing and type PROXYGRAPHICS into the command line and set it to 1, save and resend. The objects will be proxy entities that will go to polylines once exploded.
