A client sent me a good sized AutoCAD file (from a third party) and my MicroStation V8 won't open it.?ÿ My V8 usually doesn't have trouble opening dwgs up to about 2010.?ÿ I tried all day to get ahold of the folks that originated the file, but can't get a return from them.
Anybody out there that could help me out by saving this file back to an earlier version?

Autodesk has a free drawing viewer that will convert drawings to prior releases.?ÿ It is called DWG TrueView and can be found at:

Oh woe is me... I am so not a fan of the Tiny Shellfish, give me my autodesk products and their world of frustrations any day. It is a bad day when I have to drill down to the Bentley program collection. I feel just like a CAD newbie, all nekid, alone and afraid.
