Is there a way, in CADD, to set nodes on a line 599.96 feet long; at 12 equal points?

TIA

In plain autocad, I think the command is divide. In Carlson, I think it is interpolate points along entity, under the cogo pulldown menu.

Divide is the command you want in plain AutoCAD. It sets AutoCAD points, you might have to type "ddptype" after using the divide command to see the points

just for fun

Rather than DIVIDE you can run the geometry:

Draw a line perpendicular to the line in question.
Move it to the endpoint of the line in question.
Offset it 12 times by the same amount. (Array)
Scale with reference from endpoint to endpoint (Align)

Or you can use concentric circles, polygons or anything else.

I always dream about going back in time and showing CAD to Euclid... His mind would be blown away and my name would be on the Elements: Thaddeuseun Geometry.

A couple of times, my old boss would leave a complex geometry problem on my desk. I would solve it in about 5 minutes using CADD. I think the first time, he thought I was a genius, the next time he asked to see my work...I told him I was too busy for that.
