Have a employee who wants to load a 32 bit cad program onto a 64 bit machine. Any way to do this?
This is word of mouth, not first hand. Sometimes there is no issue at all. Other times, you have to run in compatibility mode (from a quick web search: Win Compatibility Mode).
I'm sure there's more documentation but, that's what I've come to understand.
Half of the software available still runs as 32-bit so it should be fine unless it's an older program. If there's a problem, it'll likely be because the 32-bit program uses an 8-bit or 16-bit installer. That's the issue that got me with AutoCAD 2000i and LDD2i.
I installed Carlson Survey 2008 with an AutoCAD 2008 engine on my brand new 64 bit Windows 10 laptop; it runs with no problems so far.

You won't have any problem with that.
A 32 bit program won't be able to take advantage of the 64 bit operating systems access to extra RAM. That just means that the 32 bit program will run about the same on the 64 bit system as it did on the 32.
