Steve continued to survey the land he so loved, also enjoyed employment and surveying with Elbert Bassham, of Bassham Land Surveying in Marfa, Texas. Steve earned his Registered Professional Land Surveyor Texas License, and his Licensed State Land Surveyor License. Steve was appointed Brewster County Surveyor in July 1986 and was elected Brewster County Surveyor in November 1986 and remained Brewster County Surveyor until his death.?ÿ
Steve established and operated Walker Land Surveying in 1986 until his passing. Tom Shortt has been a long time, trusted friend and employee of Steve??s for over thirty years. Steve loved his profession, and was admired and respected by many surveyors, friends and family.?ÿ
Sorry to hear about Steve, I tried to get ahold of him when I was in Alpine in November 2017 ... he never returned my calls ... now I know why.
